Welcos co., ltd(CEO Kim Young-don) participated in ‘CICI Korea 2017,’ held at Harmony Ballroom of Grand Intercontinental Hotel, located at Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on 11^th. This is the second participation following last year.
 
Welcos participated as a GOLD sponsor, since the company was accredited for its contribution of spreading positive image of Korea to the world through K-beauty. Welcos gained popularity from the celebrities in and out of the country by offering Frudia’s 4 types of fruit cream set, which began to go viral throughout the world.
 
This event, hosted by Corea Image Communication Institute (CICI), is held to introduce the positive images of Korea to the world since 2005. 700 opinion leaders, including diplomatic delegations, political and financial figures, cultural giants, and leading journalists, have participated in this event as well.
 
For ‘CICI Korea 2017,’ Didimdol Award of Korean Image Award was given to Park Se-ri, a golf player who retired last year, while Jinggeomdari Award of Korean Image Award was given to ‘Alphago,’ the AI of Google Deepmind which played go against Lee Se-dol. Busitdol Award was given to president Cho Tae-kwon of Gwangjuyo, who has been operating Korean Restaurant Gaon, a ‘Michelin Guide’ 3 star restaurant.
 
In the meantime, US Ambassador Mark Lippert gave a congratulatory speech in Korean language that “Korea is now well recognized in the global world, and CICI has been playing an enormous role in promoting Korean image to the world.”
