Selected as an excellent cosmetics company certified by Seoul City
Welcos, putting spurs to explore overseas markets supported by the Hi Seoul Brand Project
Welcos (CEO: Kim Young-don) was selected as one of the companies for the 2017 Hi Seoul Brand Project, a joint brand for excellent small and medium-sized enterprises, by Seoul City.
Hi Seoul Brand Project sponsored by Seoul City and the Seoul Business Agency selects export-oriented companies with outstanding technology and global competitiveness. 49 companies were selected for the project this year and Welcos was certified as an excellent company in the fashion and beauty category.
After a series of a rigorous screening of documents, on-site evaluations, and presentations, Welcos got high marks for the fact that the demands for its cosmetics are increasing in North America and Eurasia, beyond Asia, and for its juice skin care brand 'FRUDIA'; FRUDIA is a brand that has been launched targeting international markets based on its technology that has been accumulated for the last 30 years.
Through this project, Seoul City will help Welcos to participate in international exhibitions, launch its brands in major online distribution channels, and distribute its corporate promotional materials. Through this support, Welcos is planning to add fresh fuel to enter into overseas markets.
"While K-Beauty has become a trend in the cosmetics market all over the world, there still are markets that K-Beauty has not yet been able to infiltrate." said a sales manager in charge of international sales. "Through collaboration between the Hi Seoul Brand Project and Welcos, we are hoping to more aggressively introduce K-Beauty to the world."
