Welcos Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Young-don) received the Excellence Prize at the 7th Gangwon Exporters’ Day ceremony on December 14.

Hosted by Gangwon State and the Gangwon Center of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the “60th Trade Day and 7th Gangwon Exporters’ Day” ceremony was attended by more than 100 people, including Governor Kim Jin Tae, Gangwon State Council Chairman Kwon Hyuk-yeol and President of Gangwon Export Enterprise Association Woo Chul-hee, as well as local exporters and meritorious exporters in the state. The event honored the achievements of Gangwon companies that have persevered in their export efforts amidst challenging external factors such as steep interest rates and escalating raw material costs, and also aimed to promote future export growth.

The company received the Excellence Prize for expanding the export market and improving the export performance of Gangwon State cosmetics by more than 25% from September 2022 to August 2023 compared to the previous period, and Park Jong-ha, team leader of the overseas sales department, was also received an award as meritorious exporter for his contribution to Gangwon exports.

As the creator of Korea's first natural cosmetics brand “KWAILNARA,” Welcos has a variety of brands such as FRUDIA, AROUND ME, MUGENS, and CONFUME, and has been steadily loved as a “K-beauty reminder” through groundbreaking marketing and active export activities, winning the 10 Million Dollar Export Tower on December 21 and being selected as Brand K in 2023. The company also helps create jobs by participating in the annual Gangwon Job Fair, serving as a social enterprise.

An official from the KITA Gangwon Center told News1, “Welcos Co., Ltd. has played a significant role in the growth of the local cosmetics export industry by over 10% in all top 10 export countries (including China, USA, Japan, UK, and Russia) last month.”
